Paradise          Thunda          The Juvanile Ruckasz          Oshin

The 57th Dynasty was born in 1996 out of inspiration, collaboration and the need as artistes to unify in strength to achieve success and defeat the industry prejudice that prevents "reality" music made on the street from taking its rightful place in the market and enjoying the air play and distribution so long denied it in the UK.

the story began with paradise and charlie parker and the formation in the studio of a relationship that would inspire the creation of The Dynasty through example both in the studio and on the street.

Paradise

paradise

paradise returned to the UK in '96 after 18 years stateside, a weary traveller with a wisdom, energy and positivity that would shine through his lyrical and performance abilities and make him a leading figure in the UK hiphop scene immediately fas fwd dropped his first 12" M.O.N.E.Y. The self titled Prolific One followed up with two more twelves in the same year (check the catalogue) and quickly became a familiar figure throughout Boro 6 and London always working and promoting the cause and name of The Dynasty and fas fwd.

He has become recognized through his work with community organisations as a conscious figure head and an inspiration to the youth. His performance in the video for love of hiphop, the second single off Spoken Word, is possibly the greatest seen by a UK artiste for some years and confirms the ground breaking status of brixton's finest The 57th Dynasty. His solo project, An Immigrants tale, will be dropping sometime after the next Dynasty album DIY ETHIC …..

Thunda

thunda

Thundastorm (aka the ashanti man) first passed thru the Off The Line Studios with his brothers Felony (H20) and The Juvanile Ruckasz and recorded a verse on No Way (ff002), the b side to M.O.N.E.Y., with the fas fwd all stars. thunda has since become an example of how the fas fwd philosophy works.

At first misinformed about how the industry works and what it would take to achieve success independent of major support he has quickly developed his skills not only as the leading ragga artiste/deejay on the label but also at street level he has proved unstoppable promoting the album SPOKEN WORD, warning the ragga world of WYNDRUSH RECORDS and collecting new artistes for future projects.

The Juvanile Ruckasz are…

Juvanile

Monsta
Dark Troopa
MC 50
Lil Monsta (aka Lil Hoof, aka Lil Big Man), 16 years old with a vocabulary and lyrical maturity that has older UK rappers running for cover at the mention of battling. 12 years old when he first started in the Dynasty, he represents how to get knowledge down to the youths thru positive energy and creativity…..
Dark Troopa aka the Jedi Knight, the uncompromisingly hard flowing, thoughtful lyricist and spokesman for teenage Brixton. Along with Dise he has been working on the beginnings of 57th Dynasty merchandising - t shirts, bandannas and pendants. Watch the News page for updates on this…….
MC 50 (aka middleman), originally the catalyst bringing the group together, distinguishable for his long flowing, metaphorical delivery. Just turned Daddy last year so gotta make this ting work so he can feed his youth….

Oshin

thunda

Oshin the Nomad, the country connection…..

Oshin brings his unique conversational style of delivery to SPOKEN WORD tracks such as Ph**kin' with The Dynasty and Love of Hiphop as well as old school break dancing skills and on another level his travels around the UK are an essential part of promoting The Dynasty and fas fwd throughout the country. His street promotion work has lead to The Dynasty performing with The Roots and at Glastonbury Festival. More recently he has developed into the group and label's cameraman and documenter - look out for his film "Independent Hype" out soon on VHS and DVD.
