Fas Fwd Entertainments is an independent, Brixton (South London) based record label. The label was started in 1994 with a game plan to record and release material that truly reflects the sound of urban London & the UK as seen by the artistes contributing their songs to the label. MCs, DeeJays, Singers and Poets local to Brixton have used the label as a platform for the rehearsal and development of their skills. The culmination of the last 7 years has been the phenomenon known as The 57th Dynasty, whose critically acclaimed debut album Spoken Word (ff006) has been selling consistently since its release in March '99. fas fwd directed the strategy that put the Dynasty on the street, from Brixton to Birmingham at first, then Bologna, Torino, Havana, Helsinki - all organised by fas fwd without the help or hindrance of major label or any other kind of support. All 8 members of The 57th Dynasty play a part in the running of fas fwd. From the links on the street, to the shows, to producing and manufacturing product, to designing street campaigns and mailing deejays, to press and pr and artiste development………………. The knowledge behind fas fwd's successful street promotions strategy comes from the passing down throughout the members of The 57th Dynasty the lessons learned in the game at street level over the last ten plus years - from the reggae foundation on the street in the 80s, all the way thru the changing styles of the 90s to the present - fas fwd was born on the street, and grew thru these times - the key is INDEPENDENCE.
